Welcome. Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Carol A Liguori Troyer. I have lived in many places including several states in the eastern US (including NJ, Virginia, and Florida) and a few states in the Midwest (including Iowa and Michigan).
I've been serious about photography since the 1980s, when I began photographing wildflowers on a regular basis. My favorite subjects are the eastern forests and wildflowers of spring, as well as cats and various new and exciting landscapes. My work has expanded in recent years to include waterfalls, mountains, deserts, sunrises, foggy ponds, as well as insects, spiders, and spider webs. In addition, I have gone on a variety of photo adventures, including the upper peninsula of Michigan, Utah, the Badlands of South Dakota, Arizona, Iceland, Hawaii, England, Australia, the Jersey shore, South Carolina, and--last but not least--the Great Smoky Mountains. During the early 2000s, I attended the Annual Wildflower Pilgrimage in Gatlinburg, TN, adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I sold photos and presented slide shows on the spring wildflowers and photographing wildflowers. I hope to return to the pilgrimage in the next few years. During the past several years I have been showing and selling my photographs at art shows in various locations, including the University of Iowa in Iowa City, which holds the Holiday Thieves Market in December and the Spring Art Expose in April. I am making a gradual transition in my life and work. I recently began setting up photos on Smugmug. So far, I have only posted iPhone shots there. But eventually I plan to post "real" photos along the lines of what you will find on this site. Here is a link to my Smugmug page: https://cat-cat.smugmug.com/ |
